The development of Golden Rice recently has taken longer than foreseen. Vitamin deficiency is a major medical issue that influences millions of people worldwide. Iron, zinc and vitamin A dearth are more dominant in rice consuming countries its named hidden hunger and it affects two billion people worldwide.
